Week of April 30th

STUDENT LED CONFERENCES on Wednesday, May 2nd  Please sign up on the sheet outside the classroom if you have not already returned the form
Stanford test the week of May 7th.  We have been practicing test taking skills and will continue to do so this week.
LDC: we will go through our final rotation at LDC. Due to the Stanford test schedule, we will skip a week in between and resume the 2nd week after Stanford testing
Language Arts: this week we will work on short oo sound made with -oo, as in hook and book.  The genre is Informational Fiction which is a make-believe story that includes real facts and information.

Social Studies: we will reviewing past material

PYP: we had lots of fun this past week learning about how matter changes our world. We had an ice melting race, packaged then enjoyed solar heated smores, and changed a liquid to a solid (we made ice cream without using a freezer).  We will begin our new planner later this week: Sharing the Planet
