Working on the "part I know" and determining the "missing part"
Early in the week we held a 'primary' to come up with a class name.  On Friday, we held an election.  Here, the voters are waiting to cast their vote.
The kids marked their choice on a ballot.
Then they placed the ballot in the "ballot basket."
Hmm, I can't decide which one to vote for.
The kids were treated to a special Art a la Carte lesson by some parents.  They learned about Matisse and his use of positive and negative to create his later works.
The children created their own pieces of art!
